The INDIVIDUAL BATTLE PACK™ is intended for the emergency treatment of wounds or injuries sustained during Combat/Tactical Operations to include: open or bleeding wounds, gunshot wounds, stab wounds, and explosive trauma.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Discard packages that are damaged, open, loose, or expired

(see date stamp below).

DIRECTIONS for TEMPORARY EXTERNAL CONTROL OF BLEEDING

1. Tear outer package at tear notches on either side.

2. Apply GLOVES and use GAUZE or ABDOMINAL PAD to immediately apply direct pressure over bleeding wound(s).

3. If bleeding continues, tear open QUIKCLOT™ sponge and pack larger bleeding wounds after removing any gauze and excess blood. Apply direct pressure over mesh bags for a minimum of 3 minutes or until bleeding stops.

4. If bleeding continues or is severe, use of a TOURNIQUET may be required. Remove tourniquet from package. Place above arm or leg bleeding site. Pull elastic around hook and wrap tight enough to stop bleeding. Anchor hook underneath elastic to secure.

5. Secure any other dressings with roll bandage or tape.

6. Seek definitive MEDICAL CARE immediately.
